The Saturnettes @ Varjobaari on 26th March

 (Yeah... A gig post, again! What a surprise ;) But this one doesn't contain so many gig pics!)

Before the gig, Nea and I were sitting ... somewhere where was warm .. listening to music, drinking, talking and taking pictures!

I looved Nea's lashes . ♥ Her make up was inspired by Illamasqua's new collection, Toxic Nature . You can see it in the shape of her eyebrows.. I've planned to do Toxic Nature inspired make up too, or not inspired but to just to try to copy some of the looks from their promo pics, lol. (I guess I should start doing things instead of just planning to do them!)

Well .. Today I'll meet Nea when she gets home from work and we'll play with make up.. I can promise you, it won't be pretty! I won't tell you what looks we're doing.. But blonde wig is necessary to both of our looks. ;)

At the gig I took mostly videos, as  I hate red/green light.. Maybe I should start uploading Jann Wilde gig videos to youtube again?

But I think I want The Saturnettes to have a gig at Klubi. The lighting is so good there and I love taking pics there, I don't even have to think about the settings of my camera, the pics are always perfect.

This was the first time in years that we took pictures with Jann. Mostly he was just making some funny faces and I'm not going to post those pics here ..  Some of you might have been lucky and fast enough to see one on facebook before I deleted it, hehh.

The Voodoo Nights @ O'Hara's on 22th March

It's so funny to think that since JWRA broke up in 2007, I wasn't interested in Jann Wilde's new band at all and I thought I'm just going to follow  The Voodoo Nights gigs.. Well, things don't always go as planned. Since that, I've seen Jann Wilde about 35 times and The Voodoo Nights only 4 times.. hehh. (The Voodoo Nights has had only one gig without age limit and before last autumn, I was too young to go to their gigs ..)

Such a great band, loved the new songs too. Looking forward to their next gig !

Hmmh sometimes gigs make me think that maybe I really should get a driving licence or something ... Gigs during the week - not a good thing as buses don't go to where I live so late but only at weekends. (luckily mum came to pick us up this time though .. Walking about 15km wouldn't be such a big problem, IF it was a summer already and not so cold, and IF you didn't have to wake up so early next morning ..)

Illamasqua - Toxic Nature

I've always loved Illamasqua's promo pics, and this spring/summer collection wasn't an expection.
Absolutely amazing!

Many people seem to be turned off by the dramatic make up, but hey that's Illamasqua, what else can you expect than creativity! It's make up for your alter ego. ♥

blue & black cut crease make up

I was playing with make up before going to The Saturnettes gig, and this is the result. Didn't want to do anything too dramatic but not too simple either ..

Loved the purple blush! Usually I always focus on the eye make up, but lately I've noticed that playing with different blushes is fun too!

The Saturnettes @ Vastavirtaklubi on 3rd March

Last week I went to see The Saturnettes with my friends Nea and Mimma.

It was the first time I went to Vastavirtaklubi .. I've been upstairs once before but never downstairs, (only almost once when I tried to get in but was too young .. hahah.).

The Saturnettes is Jann Wilde's new band, or his side project or whatsoever, and this was their first gig. It was also the first time in almost 4 years that I even considered about not going to their gig .. (dunno why!) I'm glad I went there though, it was great!

Loved hearing so many new songs! They played only few songs I've heard before, and even they weren't something I've heard too many times yet, they're not even in older Jann Wilde albums. I was surprised to hear a very old song, Girl Named Sue ! Can't even remember if I've heard it live after one acoustic gig in 2007, which was actually one of my very first gigs.

Jann Wilde never disappoints, he's such an amazing songwriter.

Their music video for their first single 'Cadillac'. The video was released yesterday, and I love it, soo funny pics.
