back in Finland, back in the blogosphere

Hey everyone! I went to London to do my practical training last September as I mentioned in my last post here forever ago.. Well, I'm back in Finland now, and also decided to start blogging again!

I was going to start with few picture heavy posts about my time in London but .. Well. Ended up deleting the first new post as suddenly felt a bit uncomfortable with sharing so much here. I've just checked the statistics of my blog and I'm soo surprised that so many people are visiting my blog even though I've been so inactive! I don't want to let this blog be too personal, I want to focus on make up looks and clothes and stuff like that, and keep most of the personal stuff like pics with friends etc on FB and on my computer. .

Anyways, I had an amaaaazing time in London! Not going to post many pics here, but let me tell you about some highlights of my time there.

I got closer with my friends, also made some new friends, and even met some internet friends for the first time in real life! Miss them already. ♥
Went out at least once a week, sometimes twice or even three times. Had so much fun partying with my friends! I never really go out here in Finland..
I was working for Minna Hepburn , and really enjoyed it.
The house I was living in, it was great, my room was like 3 times bigger than my room in Finland.. And all my flatmates were very nice too!

Went to my first fashion show ever! Kristian Aadnevik. Was amazing, I love his designs.
Saw Toyah performing..
and Massive Ego and Dusty O..
and Joe Black !
Almost went to Boy George's gig too, already bought the ticket... but the gig got cancelled. :( (I've seen him 3 times before, so it wasn't the end of the world.)
Also went to a club where Boy George was supposed to be DJing, but he got ill and didn't come there. Had a great time anyway!
Amanda Lepore was also hosting at some party where I went to!
My family came for a surprise visit! They just UNexpectedly turned up at my work place one day, I was so shocked.. Even my mum came, even though she's terrified of flying!
Also two of my friends from Finland came to visit me, and few sent me letters! I love real letters!
Spent the christmas with two of my friends. My first christmas away from my family.. Had a great time! But from now on I wanna spend every christmas at home.. Christmas is a family event for me.

Going to post about couple other events I went to in London, and then I'm ready to start posting some make up looks and outfits again! And yes, I also have looots of catching up to do with all the blogs I'm following as I've been away for so long .. (Ughh and the photo uploader on blogger hates me.)

Heyy everyone ! I'm here again, letting you guys know that I'm still alive, even though I've been absent lately!

There's been a lot going on lately ... School, friends etc. I've been super busy, and tired .. And I also have to take a little (or actually quite long break from blogging now!) I'm going to London on Friday, and staying there for 4 months!! I'm doing my practical training there, I'll work in Minna Hepburn's studio!

I don't have a laptop or anything while I'm in London, so I won't be able to blog from there ... (and, I suppose there's going to be soooo many things to blog about when I come back in January, so don't know if I can get anything done then either, hahh)

So, here's few random pics and info of some things that've happened lately.

My friend Dille moved to Tampere to study, and I've seen him few times! It's so funny, he used to live about 800 km from me, he was my furthest friend from Finland.. And now he's the closest! Doesn't he look amazing with my pink net top and black nipple tapes! ;)

I wanted to go ice cream shopping.. And my brother took me on a motorcycle ride! It was my second time on motorcycle, and so scary...


My brother's fiance and Tommi baked me a cake while I was on a motorcycle ride with my brother!! Hehh.. They didn' use any recipe, they just made it .. There was meant to be a frosting too, but they were too impatient to wait until it has cooled enough, so the frosting melted ...

The cake was delicious (even though it might not look like so), especially with ice cream! My mum is also going to bake me a real birthday/farewell cake on Thurday!

There was some anime convention in Tampere where Tommi went. He played Squalo, and the leather jacket he's wearing - it's made by me! :D Doesn't he look stunning ♥

Yeah, I also had my 19th birthday on Monday. Nothing special happened, I didn't have a party or anything .. Went to a bar with my dad on Sunday though, it was nice! Many free drinks.. And this one also had a sparkler in it! Didn't realise to take a picture of it while it was burning though ..

I also got a new haircut! Now my both sides are short! This is the side that used to be long! Yeah, that happens when I start to think about growing long hair again.. It just gets shorter!

Such a loong time since I've been an active blogger! I thought that when the summer holiday begins and I can't use my very good sewing machine at school anymore, I'd have lots of time for make up experiments and blogging again - just like last summer .. But there's been so much else going on and .. I've decided not to post so much personal stuff here anymore - well, I've never posted anything really personal but I mean I'd rather focus on posting about make up, clothes and inspirations than about friends, events etc.

So. Here's few garments I've sewed lately.

This vest is made of some old huge jacket I got from someone. At first I made also sleeves, but I didn't like them so much and cut them off. I'm wearing an old skirt of mine as a dress.

This dress is made of my grandma's old long black skirt. I turned it upside down (the waist is now the hem), I opened the sides and created the sleeves. I made the neckline out of the skirt's slit and added those purple pieces to bring it some colour. This dress kinf od reminds me of Donald Duck's shirt, hahah.

This blue dress is also made of my grandma's old skirt. I didn't have anything nice and comfortable to wear at my friend's birthday/housewarming party, so at night before I was going there, I sewed this. The first blue garment I've ever worn! And I really like it. I added the belt to add some shape to it - even though I love oversized, comfortable clothes - I don't want to look like I'm wearing a sack.

My friend Tommi from Turku came to visit me in Nokia for a couple nights! I had a great time with him, he's such a nice and fun guy to be around!

At first he sewed my snake's mouth closed. I think it looks much better that way, but I've been to lazy or something to do it before. It's been like forever since Tommi's been sewing anything so... it was quite fun to watch.

As we're almost the same size, my clothes fit him quite well and he was trying some of them on...
It was soooo much fun.

I LOVE this look with my pink fishnet shirt and grey skirt. ♥

Harry Potter. Harry Potter. Harry Potter. Ohhh, how many times I heard that....

Jare & VilleGalle gig @Tivoli! They're finnish hip hop band ... Mostly rapping about sports. We went to their gig, just for fun as neither of us really likes that kind of music. But it was great!

We also ate one packet of popsicles, visited a sex shop, sat in front of a church (unfortunately it was closed so we couldn't go in!), played some relationship game with my brother and his girlfriend (that was interesting as we're not a couple :D) and talked a loooot about sex ..

And stayed up till about 9.30, watching movies! Transamerica, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Pinocchio, Titanic ..

Looking forward to Tommi's birthday/housewarming party next month! ^_^

new hair & Tammerfest look

I got a new haircut a while ago. I had thought that I might want to grow my hair long again ... And what do do then; of course, cut it short! Hahh. It's been about 6 years since my hair was as short as it's now. At first I felt a bit ... naked without my longer hair, but now I'm quite used it. Perfect hair for summer. I always wore ponytails at home, because it's much more comfortable, but now I don't have to because my hair is so short it feels like it's on ponytail all the time.

I wanted to try some bold make up look and different hairdo for Tammerfest, but what a surprise, it was a rainy day so there was no other option for hairdo than wear a hat... And, I was veeery tired so ended up with a simple make up look too.

I wore my black leggins sleeves and the purple dress and little vest that I've made, with those rose lace leggins. The colour of the day was obviosly purple, as I also had a purple hoodie as a jacket and purple scarf..

Tammerfest 2011!

I was meant to go to see The Saturnettes playing at Viikinsaari earlier but ... well, if gig starts already at 14, it's just far too early, especially if you don't go to bed before 9 in the morning! Hehh.

My friend Siz is in Finland again! I met her at the gig. This time she's going to stay in Finland much longer, so I'm sure there's going to be more blog posts including her too! Last year we went to a picnic in Hämeenlinna, Tammerfest, a gig @Varjobaari, my birthday party in Helsinki ... etc. I'm so happy for her, she loves Finland and now she's making her dreams come true, she's studying finnish language here!

(I hate the red lighting at some gig places.)

An unplugged gig. Mostly it was just Jann and Robin, the rest of the band only joined them for couple songs. Also Robin sang a whole song alone! That was the first time.

We were expecting to hear a David Bowie cover as they promised so earlier on FB, but the covers were only The Cure and T-Rex as usual :(

I had to walk all the way home from Tampere, it was about 16km and took me nearly 3 hours. I decided to walk, just for fun.. But later I realised that I had no choice, it wasn't weekend yet so there were no night buses going to where I live. I had other shoes in my bag, so I didn't have to walk home in heels, hehh.

Voodo is one of my best friends, but she lives in Ylivieska which is about 400km from where I live, so we can't meet so often.. But, she came here couple weeks ago and we spent a week together and had a great time, as always! ♥

Our week involved

Going to a bar with my dad
and being teached about the facts of love by some old drunk men

swimming in the middle of the night

biking home wearing only shirts and towels in our heads

sleeping in the balcony
and being eaten by mosquitos

walking and boiling in the sun
arguing with my brother

and entertaining other people who happened to be there and hear us

corset & skirt

I had almost forgotten to post pics of the corset and the skirt I made!

This is the first corset ever that I've made. I'm quite happy how it turned out, I like that silvery/grey fabric, and the fact that I can get about 10cm smaller waist!

Actually I dont like that skirt anymore though, hahah and I'm thinking about turning it into just a simple black tulle skirt. We'll see.

Sorry for the lack of posting & commenting on your blogs lately, I've been having great, fun time with my friend Voodo who came to Helsinki from Ylivieska! Going to catch up as soon as I go back home again! :)

I haven't worn any make up for almost two weeks! I haven't gone anywhere and haven't done anything special, and haven't felt like playing with make up just for fun either. I guess my skin has been happy that I've given it a chance to rest and be fresh for a while, but..

I just cheated on my online life with Vampire Diaries books! Spent 4 days reading them all. I've read them previously once, but it was different as I always had to wait till I get the next book.. Now I wanted to just 'drown into' the story and read them all without any breaks! Such great books! If you like vampires, I recommend you to read them. Or, watch the tv-show! I began watching it when I heard this gorgeous guy called Ian Somerhalder is playing one of those vampires! ♥

pink bolero

Yay, for once I have also the before picture of my little refashion project! I always forget to take the before picture, I'm too excited to start cutting, hah.. But I had this already taken for my blog last year. I got this pink shirt from my grandma's sister or someone ..

And as I've recently been trying not to wear such sacks anymore, and I got bored of tightening shirts as I had already tightened so many, I wanted to make something a bit different out of this one.

Pink bolero with 3/4 sleeves. It's made in rush and there's things I'm not completely happy with but whatever, I guess it's wearable anyway. I'm not so comfortable with showing my arms so I think this is quite nice.

refashion skirts

After finishing my school work (corset + skirt .. which I also should post pics of) I had some time to do anything, among other things I refashioned some old clothes into skirts.

This skirt is made of the other leg of the leopard jeans (the other leg I used for the top of this dress).
Actually those size 46 trousers were much better present than they would have been if they were actually my size.. I got a skirt, a dress and a pencil case out of them instead of just jeans! :D

This skirt is made of some small child's trousers. Never should throw any clothes away, if the fabric is nice, you can make something new out of it!

And this is made of the bottom of a huge jacket. This skirt is now one of my very rare clothes which also has pockets! :D (hmmh it looks quite awful as I hadn't ironed it yet...)
I started making a bolero jacket of the top of this jacket, but haven't finished it yet as I wasn't sure yet what kind of sleeves I want..

And YAAY, it's my summer holiday now! 2½ months of warmth and freedom. ♥

neon sunset make up look

Last weekend I was playing with make up again! Ended up with a quite simple look though. I had no idea what I'm going to do, all I knew was that I want to try something different from what I usually wear, so no dark colours this time! And what's better and brigher combo than pink + orange then :D

Then I suddenly got asked to go out with some friends, and as I hate washing off my make up, I didn't wash that bright look but just covered it a bit and made it darker and more wearable! The previous look could be wearable too, but as I'm not used to those colours yet and it was a bit of an overdose of orange.. (Hmmh, I've started to use a word 'overdose' a lot lately :D) So, this is the more wearable version !

In case some of you haven't heard yet, Finland won the ice hockey world championship. Really, I couldn't care less.. And I've had an overdose of everything icehockey related lately, Hehh, I'm not really a fan of sports..

But, there was some kind of celebration in Keskustori yesterday.. And I wanted to be a good big sister and take my little sister there as she was so excited, but too young to go alone. (And how could I say no to a chance to see my absolute favourite singer ever of my childhood! Even if I had to also listen to stuff about ice hockey then ..)

There were sooo many people.. about 30,000. That's crazy. Hey, it's only ice hockey, not such a big deal ... ;D We were standing faaar from the stage, I didn't even want to try to get closer .. Even though, this was the first gig ever I had to watch via screen! Ahh, the perfect quality of the pics..

Bye bye Pillarpox Red, it's Plum now!

I wanted to turn the red part of my hair into purple already few months ago but there (in Backstreet) happened to be only every other colour but no Plum which is the purple I wanted, so I had to stay with red a little bit longer ..

But as you can see, now it's purple! :) I love red, but change is always good too! And as I'd like to bring some colours into my wardrobe, purple is better hair colour because it goes better with everything, unlike red..

Playing with bleach would be nice too, I don't know if I want so big part of my hair to be black anymore! Maybe some of my friends wants to help me with that someday. Hmmh.. Rainbow hair sounds tempting .... ;)

leopard dress

This is a dress I made last week. For the leopard top I used some old jeans I got from my ex-boyfriend as a chrismas present couple years ago (hehh, they were size 46 and faaar too large for me!)

For the skirt part I used some old long skirt I got from somewhere but haven't ever worn as I'm not a fan of maxi skirts.. Made a short bubble skirt out of it and attached it to the leopard top.

Wasn't happy with the way the dress looked when I wore it as I'm not .. hmmh.. as flat-chested as I'd like to be :D So I wanted to add those black ruffles to do some covering so I feel more comfortable.

I've been sewing a lot lately, have to make the most of this little time I've left before the summer holiday begins! I have looots of leftover fabrics, and some old clothes that are either too big or too small for me and need some editing.. I want to make them all wearable and fill my wardrobe! You can never have too many clothes ♥

This shirt is my mum's old, and was far too large for me. I love large clothes, but lately I've tried to get used to a bit more tight garments too, I don't want to wear such sacks anymore, hahh. So I tightened this shirt a lot to make it look better.

Also made the vest out of some leftover fabrics, so it cost me nothing. The buttons are just like the buttons in the shorts I made last year. Had bought more silver buttons than I needed then as I didn't know yet that I'm going to make that bow to the shorts..

Finally! ♥ And soon we can start complaining how it's far too hot ;D

After school, Heidi & I went to Passion to have drinks on terrace.. Heidi wanted to buy me that one drink as she remembered it tasted delicious.. (But it only tasted like orange juice, I guess she was too drunk when she drank it last time ;D)

Then we went to sit in the park and eat ice cream! After that Heidi had a sudden urge to go to swim for the first time this year ... and well, if she wants to do something, she has to do it immediately ;D I went with her, though I didn't wet but only my feet, water was freezing cold! Heidi just jumped into water before even trying the temperature..

Had a nice day with her, now we have some GREAT plans for the summer and I just can't wait till my holiday begins!

summer shoes

How is it possible to be so impossible to find perfect shoes?

I know I've always been too picky and I've never liked shoes too much.. But since I bought my first heels last year, I thought it'd be much easier to find great shoes now as I know I can walk in heels too.. And the best looking shoes are usually heels!

This week I spent 3 days going around all the shoe stores in Tampere .. but didn't even find anything worth trying on.

I even started to consider buying shoes online, for the first time ever! Hehh, looking for shoes online, I found these funky wedges though! I probably couldn't walk in them but they look great and I'd loove to try these on!

Well.. Couldn't find anything amazing and wearable shoes online either, so I gave up. Shoes that I absolutely LOVE - I guess they don't exist.

So I went back to Ideapark and tried on the wedges @Dinsko that are almost like the pair I bought last year, but they just look a bit more boring as they don't have a decorative zipper or anything, they're just plain black wedges. Boooring. I wanted to find something... well, SOMETHING else. But as I couldn't find that something, and I still need to wear some shoes anyway, I had to try these on..

And yeah. It was love at the first try-out! Just like last year.. Even though they look too plain for my taste.. But who cares how they look if they feel perfect!

And if you wonder why I don't wear the last year's heels as they look a bit better than these... Well, I'm such a shoe killer... As if they were alive anymore, I wore them through the whole last summer! ;D

This is the dress I wore at Miss Drag Queen Contest at DTM. (promised to show a better picture of the dress later..)

This is the first garment I've made, simple purple dress.. I made it couple years ago when my grandma bought me a sewing maching, it was before I even started to study dressmaking. The dress was much longer, and more simple then though.. and I never wore it. But a while ago I did some changes to it; shortened and tightened it, and added those folds and a zipper and now it looks more like my dress.

Nea and I went to Helsinki last Friday, to see Miss Drag Queen 2011 contest @DTM.

Here's the drag queens. I took videos of couple of the first artist but unfortunately somehow managed to lose them .. The first contestant was Laila-Annikki - and the second one was Miss Hero (who also was the 2nd winner of the contest!) She was my favourite.. after Linnea, of course!) ..

While waiting for the results of the contest, Martina Aitolehti was performing few songs ..(hahah)

The hosts, NikoLa and Cristal Snow. (Nikola is the drag artist who was performing that funny song @Tampere Pride 2010! And I used to like Cristal Snow's music some years ago.)

And the winner was .. Of course, Linnea Von Kattendam ! (She's also the Drag Artist of the year 2011!)

The Saturnettes @ Varjobaari on 26th March

(Yeah... A gig post, again! What a surprise ;) But this one doesn't contain so many gig pics!)

Before the gig, Nea and I were sitting ... somewhere where was warm .. listening to music, drinking, talking and taking pictures!

(Nea, I just noticed .. the way YOU combine prints, quite ardeish! Add some colours too;))

I looved Nea's lashes . ♥ Her make up was inspired by Illamasqua's new collection, Toxic Nature . You can see it in the shape of her eyebrows.. I've planned to do Toxic Nature inspired make up too, or not inspired but to just to try to copy some of the looks from their promo pics, lol. (I guess I should start doing things instead of just planning to do them!)

Well .. Today I'll meet Nea when she gets home from work and we'll play with make up.. I can promise you, it won't be pretty! I won't tell you what looks we're doing.. But blonde wig is necessary to both of our looks. ;)

At the gig I took mostly videos, as I hate red/green light.. Maybe I should start uploading Jann Wilde gig videos to youtube again?

But I think I want The Saturnettes to have a gig at Klubi. The lighting is so good there and I love taking pics there, I don't even have to think about the settings of my camera, the pics are always perfect.

This was the first time in years that we took pictures with Jann. Mostly he was just making some funny faces and I'm not going to post those pics here .. Some of you might have been lucky and fast enough to see one on facebook before I deleted it, hehh.

The Voodoo Nights @ O'Hara's on 22th March

It's so funny to think that since JWRA broke up in 2007, I wasn't interested in Jann Wilde's new band at all and I thought I'm just going to follow The Voodoo Nights gigs.. Well, things don't always go as planned. Since that, I've seen Jann Wilde about 35 times and The Voodoo Nights only 4 times.. hehh. (The Voodoo Nights has had only one gig without age limit and before last autumn, I was too young to go to their gigs ..)

Such a great band, loved the new songs too. Looking forward to their next gig !

Hmmh sometimes gigs make me think that maybe I really should get a driving licence or something ... Gigs during the week - not a good thing as buses don't go to where I live so late but only at weekends. (luckily mum came to pick us up this time though .. Walking about 15km wouldn't be such a big problem, IF it was a summer already and not so cold, and IF you didn't have to wake up so early next morning ..)

Absolutely amazing!

Many people seem to be turned off by the dramatic make up, but hey that's Illamasqua, what else can you expect than creativity! It's make up for your alter ego. ♥

I was playing with make up before going to The Saturnettes gig, and this is the result. Didn't want to do anything too dramatic but not too simple either ..

Loved the purple blush! Usually I always focus on the eye make up, but lately I've noticed that playing with different blushes is fun too!

Last week I went to see The Saturnettes with my friends Nea and Mimma.

It was the first time I went to Vastavirtaklubi .. I've been upstairs once before but never downstairs, (only almost once when I tried to get in but was too young .. hahah.).

The Saturnettes is Jann Wilde's new band, or his side project or whatsoever, and this was their first gig. It was also the first time in almost 4 years that I even considered about not going to their gig .. (dunno why!) I'm glad I went there though, it was great!

Loved hearing so many new songs! They played only few songs I've heard before, and even they weren't something I've heard too many times yet, they're not even in older Jann Wilde albums. I was surprised to hear a very old song, Girl Named Sue ! Can't even remember if I've heard it live after one acoustic gig in 2007, which was actually one of my very first gigs.

Jann Wilde never disappoints, he's such an amazing songwriter.

Their music video for their first single 'Cadillac'. The video was released yesterday, and I love it, soo funny pics.

how such a small amount of make up can make such a huge difference in the way you look, and in the way you feel !

I've been very sick, and haven't worn any make up in the last 1½ weeks.. And haven't even straightened my hair. But today it was time to make me look - and feel like myself again !

Going to experiment more with make up later! I just received some Illamasqua products few days ago, and as I'm finally starting to feel better, can't wait to try them out!

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

I like it. The song is the new LGBT rights anthem but the video is from the outer space. The giving birth scene was a bit creepy.. The video itself is sooo weird and bizarre..

But what else can you expect from Lady Gaga ? :D

She rocks many different looks in this video, including a black leather bikini with her 'horns', a nude see-through body suit with zippers, a tuxedo paired with a cotton candy pink wig and skeleton make up..

I kinda love those implants in her face and shoulders, so weird and different. As a tribute to Alexander McQueen.. The single 'Born This Way' was also released on the one-year anniversary of his death. (Heh, I wonder how many little monsters are going to follow her, and if it will become normal to see people walking around with fake horns!)

I've heard so many negative comments about her these days, and about this video.. But I think Gaga is such an interesting artist anyway, I'm always looking forward to see what she does next!

You probably either love or hate 'Born This Way', and I'm curious to hear your opinion!

Pete Burns @ The Eagle on 12th Feb

Dreams really can come true. It's proved, again! I never thought it'd be possible for me too see Pete Burns performing live (I know, I should have lived in the 80s....) but well, it happened!! ♥

Before the gig we were sitting outside and drinking .. It was so warm!! I love London weather .. Couldn't even imagine going to spend time outside in this freezing cold weather in Finland in February!

That WKD Blue drink is delicious! Unfortunately they don't sell it in Finland ... Haha, seems like I take a pic like this every time in London... with different drinks though!

Finally ! I was like in heaven, really ... Never been so excited at a gig before. I was dancing and singing.. Yeah, me, singing! (I never ever sing anywhere!)

Pete still is beatiful. Even though not a natural beauty anymore, heheh. But really, I don't think his surgery has gone as wrong as people say, he doesn't look like an ugly monster ...

I adore his style. Those puffy sleeves, leather bra, tie ... Just amazing.

He only played 5 songs though..

Well, that's all about this trip to London. I LOVE Camden Town. It's the best place for shopping in London I think.. Oxford Street etc., they're so mainstream, full of stuff that everyone wears .. In Camden Town, you can find more extraordinary things! There's lots of rock and goth style clothes ..

And of course, great shoes ...

And what's the best .... vintage clothes!! ♥ We were like in heaven ! I just loooove those extraordinary stunning vintage clothes! (unfortunately taking pics wasn't allowed at those shops...)

London pics ! (feb 2011)

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I was in London last weekend. It was just a quick visit, only for the weekend.. Went there mostly for the Pete Burns gig (which I'm going to blog about later.)

This time I went there with my friend Yvonne. Didn't even have much time to plan this trip, it just happened, heheh. I knew that there's going to be Pete Burns gig but I didn't think it'd be possible for me to go.. But, the flights happened to be quite cheap and Yvonne wanted to go with me so .. :D

It was my first, and the last time I stayed in a hostel. The location was nice though, it was right in the centre of London, very near London Eye etc.. But hostel - no it's just not for me, I need my privacy and space !

We didn't even use tube at all .. Buses are better, we could see so much more ! And it's not even so difficult to use them when you get used to it and the maps.

Note to self: Never get on the bus if you don't have a valid travel card or some other ticket ...

We even happened to drive past Euston station, and The Shaw Theatre! Heheh, memories ... ♥ Went there for Boy George gig 3 years ago! It was my first trip to London .. And the first time I saw Boy George.

It was soo warm in London, and there was no snow!

I went to London last weekend. (going to blog more about that later..)

Had a massive outfit crisis before leaving, didn't know what to wear as all my clothes felt far too ordinary .. I don't want to go out to have fun in the same clothes which I have already worn in my everyday life, at school etc.. (That's why I hate my style, I always wear the same stuff, don't have any special clothes for parties or anything, my everyday life is my party. heheh)

So I had to make something new on Friday. I used my leather blazer's leftover fabrics to make this skirt .. The result surprised me as I had only less than 5 hours and no patterns or anything to do this !

If I had more time, I could have done something more groovy but well.. at least this was something I haven't worn before!

I spent new years eve with my friend Heidi. We had soo much fun playing with make up, and taking pictures and videos!

She wanted me to do her make up too.. This was the first time ever when I did make up for someone else than myself. The looks came out surprisingly good, considering that we were also drinking ..

I wanted to try blue blush and I loved it! A bit different than my normal everyday make up looks ..

I even managed to wake up early enough to take pictures in the daylight. At the moment I'm growing my eyebrows back (just to test how long it takes) so couldn't do any special eyebrows this time..
This look is inspired by some make up look by Adam Sidwell (illamasqua make up artist). It's not the same look, but he also had other eye pink and other blue..

It's been a loong time since I've posted any make up looks. I've been too busy (or lazy) ... But last weekend I had a date with my make up boxes and mirror! And this is the look I came up with.

Most of you have already seen these pictures on facebook, and Nea also used these to make a new banner for my blog. Do you like it? She's sooo good.. She's my official banner maker :D

Products used: Illamasqya eyeshadows, Grimas blush and Lyra kajal/eyeliner. If you need details, just ask.

It was so difficult to take good pictures, due to the bad lighting. Oh how I hate winter, it's so dark (and freezing!). I miss the daylight.

I'm sure there'll be lots of new make up looks coming in the near future. As some of you might know, I've shaved off all my eyebrows! So I have lots of space in my face now.. I can do anything!

On Monday 25th October we went to Camden Town, to My Elastic Eye gig. My friend Rich said he's going there so we went to say hi.. And the band was good too!

After the gig we went to Kinky Kabaret at Freedom. Dusty O was DJing there. We were drinking and dancing and having lots of fun ... There was also a very cute french bartender who we were talking with!

THE FACE - Alejandro's birthday party

On 22th October at The Green Carnation, Soho ... THE FACE featuring Alejandro's birthday party!

Before going to the Green Carnation, we were spending time outside in Soho and drinking. Talked with some old punk! Also chatted with a nun who was laughing at our looks. Some guy called Nea Lady Gaga and proposed her too.

Then we went in .. At first there wasn't so many people, we were so early.. Took pictures of our amazing make up looks created by Mark.

The jacket & the skirt are made by me. I also made the bag. (black furry bag with red PVC bow)

The night was SO much fun!! The best party I've ever attented. Was lovely to meet Alejandro and Nejc again.. Also randomly met Joseph Harwood (who's been my facebook friend for a long time but haven't talked much with him before)! And also got to know some other amazing people too. Even Steve Strange was there!

I might have been a bit too drunk though so can't remember everything though.. We asked the bar staff to recommend the strongest, sweetest, cheapest and biggest drink. Heheh..

Alejandro was DJing too, and the music was amazing! 80's ♥

Illamasqua @ Selfridges

On Thursday we went to Selfridges, went to look at the make up products there.. We got an amazing idea, to go and get our make up done by some talented Illamasqua make up artist next day for THE FACE. Mika doll was working there, and we asked if he'd be there tomorrow and could do our make up. He wasn't, but he arranged an appointment with some other make up artist, Mark.

So, on Friday we went to Selfridges again, to get our make up done. We had to go there without any make up on our face ...

At first Mark did Nea's make up. WOW ...

I think these pictures could be some Illamasqua ads.. Nea looks amazing!

Then for me..

I loved my make up!

And Mark wasn't just a very talented make up artist, he was very nice guy too! We went to say hi to him some other day too.

And on our last day we would have wanted to say bye but he was off.. Mika Doll was working, and we were talking with him. He's such a gorgeous guy too!

I also bought some products .. I love Illamasqua. Those eyeshadows are sooo good! Love the vanilla smell of the white eyeshadow! Heh..
