Last few days I spent in Hämeenlinna with my friend Yvonne. We had awesome time, spending time outside and also watching some movies inside. One day we went to the flea market..
Black & white striped blouses, 1€. You can never have too many blouses.
Black jacket/blouse, 3€. I have to make it a bit tighter, then it will be perfect. Luckily it doesn't have a lining, so it will be very easy to narrow.
Eyeshadow palette, (not used) 2.9€. While waiting for my London trip and all the make up products I'm going to buy there, I wanted to add something to my make up collection. You can never have too much make up.
These magazines (Cosmopolitan, 3x Elle, Bursda) I bought from some antiquarian shop we visited too. I love looking at those pictures of fashion magazines, some of them are so inspiring. But I prefer buying them later when they're cheap. At that antiquarian shop, I also found Taboo -the musical! I didn't buy it, because I already have it. But it was so weird, I never thought they'd sell it anywhere in Finland!
But yeah, when I was coming home from Hämeenlinna, on my way from the railway station in Tampere to the bus stop, I visited some shops..
Every product cost only max. 1€ at UFF, and I just couldn't leave that shop with empty hands.
A silver tie. I love ties, but I haven't had any own tie before this. My zebra shirt dress's collar can be worn as a tie, (as I did in Vappurock) and I also have my dad's white leather jacket and his few other ties. But this is my first very own tie..
A skirt. It can also be worn as a dress. Well, it's a bit too short for being a full dress but if I'm wearing also a black mini skirt, it's fine. The fabric is lovely.
A dark grey blazer. Sometimes I love adding masculine things to my style. Like this kind of jackets, ties, hats... Etc. This jacket looks so good when it's open and I roll up the sleeves.
A black frill blouse. I love frills.
A purple/black dress. I'm going to shorten this, and probably make the neckline bigger, then this will be more wearable. Probably looks good with a black belt. I love those bat sleeves!
A red blouse from the 80s. I just love it.
When my sister saw all these things I had bought, she rolled her eyes. Like always.. She doesn't like my style, and she doesn't like second hand things. :D And yeah, all these clothes look much better on me than they do in these pictures. Maybe I'm going to feature them in the outfit posts in the future.
There was also -50% off all the products in H&M too, because of the smoke damage that had happened. It was so crazy there, there was sooo many people, there was guard at the doors controlling how many people can get in.. Look at these pictures, people were even queueing to get in!
And you should have seen the people in there and how much clothes some of them were buying! The clothes piles in their hands.. Wow. I didn't buy a lot though, I only bought the eyeshadow palette for my friend and these few things for myself.
Two flower hairpins (which also have safetypins so they can be attached to clothes), bracelets and rings.
I can't believe it's already August! Time goes by so soon! Not a long time left till I go back to school, it's my birthday, Siz comes to Finland again, Nea and I go to London... :D

filling my closet
Mum is having her summer holiday too, so she's done lots of cleaning and organising at home. That's how she likes to spend her holidays.. Cleaning. Anyways, she found some clothes she had got years ago from my grandma's sister, who I've never met. Mum went through the clothes and throw most of them away, but saved some garments because she thought I might like them. Yeah, I love quite old-fashioned clothes. These are the garments what I'm going to wear someday:
Black long skirt, which I'm going to wear as a dress. I might also sew shoulder straps to it. This really looks nice as a dress, at least if I add a belt to give it more shape.
Those shirts actually remind me a bit of New Romantics. Maybe can't see it in these pictures but they're so loose and large.. Should just add some frills to them though. Or bows. Whatevers.
Pink is lovely colour. But it's been really forever since I've worn anything blue. I don't even own anything blue! But I think I should add more colours to my wardrope.. Somehow I've started to like blue a bit, don't know why, maybe because I've watched Michael James' videos on youtube lately and he looks fabulous with blue hair.
This long shirt is awesome, it's long enough to be used as a dress. Add a belt to give it a shape too and it's perfect. This colour isn't familiar to me either.. I've only worn red, pink and purple for the last few years. But I like this turqoiseish green colour.
And the last one.. I'm not going to wear this brown jacket. I don't like brown colour at all, it's fine if it's leopard pattern but otherwise, no thanks. But, I tried this jacket on and my sister & mum said it reminds of Boy George! Probably doesn't look like that in these pictures though.. But I wanted to save this jacket, maybe someday I'm going to need this for something.
I also got some other shirts but they weren't suitable colours for me.. White shirt with brown polka dots, black shirt with few brown stripes, long floral skirt which could be worn as a dress.. Not for me, thanks.
But really, my closet is so full! Especially the hanger part of my closet, there's no space for any new clothes. I'd really need a garment rack to my room!!
At the moment I'm watching Worried About The Boy, again. Taking still pictures, because I think tomorrow I might be trying some make up looks from that movie.

second hand finds #2
Few days ago I went to flea market with my mum. She didn't want to go to Tampere, though the flea markets are much better there. Anyway, in the small flea market in Nokia she bought me these few items:
Black jacket. It's good jacket for cool summer nights, or warm autumn/spring days. I haven't had a jacket for quite warm days, all my jackets are either winter jackets or leather jacket.
Black, long vest. I actually like this more than I like my shorter black vest. This fits me better and I prefer vests to be either long or very short, not middle lenght.
Photo frame. I joked that I want this, and mum took it seriously and bought this. It's a funny photo frame.. I asked mum what photo should I put to it, and she suggested a picture of Boy George. This picture of Boy George is taken by me, when I was at his concert in January 2008. It's a prove that dreams can come true.
I'm usually very strict with my money when I'm saving for something.. And at the moment I'm saving for my trip to London in October. But, as I got the stipend from school which was very unexpected income, I allowed myself to go to flea markets in Tampere next day and take a break from saving. And these are my hauls:
Top. Just a cute pink top with sequins.
Silver/black striped vest. Yeah, I have an obsession for silvery fabric.
A corset. I've always wanted a corset, but they're so expensive and I'm not sure if I'd like them enough so they'd be worth that money.. But I found this one, it's like an underwear corset, and happened to be just perfect size for me and not expensive. And it feels so comfortable! Normally I wouldn't buy any lingerie in the flea markets, but this was never used, even the prize and size tags were still attached to it.
UK ELLE magazine, 2009. I love to read fashion magazines in english, and finally found few of them in the flea market. Bought only one though. London calling.. Of course I chose this one, the cover was the most attracting. I love looking at the pictures in the fashion magazines..
Nancy, a memoir of Nancy Spungen's mum. I've read this book years ago, but I wanted to buy it because it was so cheap and I'd like to read it again.

Ideapark & first heels
Sorry, it's been a while since I've posted anything! Somehow the sudden heat just makes me so tired and lazy, can't be bothered to do anything but find the coolest place at home and lay there.. But now I finally managed to find some energy to post something and tell you about my trip to Ideapark last weekend, and show you my first heels!
At Rockjet I had to try on this pink tulle dress. I didn't buy it though, but it inspired me to design some amazing dresses I want to make someday. Suddenly I have sooo many ideas in my head.. I think I should try to draw them before I forget!

It was weird, we were at some shop and I just said to my friend that I'd love to get peacock earrings but haven't seen them ever anywhere. Then I turned around, and what I saw.. Peacock earrings! Only one pair, but I couldn't buy them though, as the other was a bit crooked.. But, at H&M I found this lovely peacock hair pin and I had to buy it! As I've said... I love peacock feathers!
And.. The main reason why we even went to Ideapark: shoes. I thought I'm going to buy some cute ballerinas till I find some other summer shoes later.. But instead of ballerinas, these shoes caught my eye.. I was like no, I don't even want to try them on as I know for sure I couldn't buy them. But, while I was waiting my friend to be done with her shoe fittings, I decided to try these on anyway and... They fitted perfectly. I walked around the shop few times in them, walking wasn't so difficult as I had thought! I was still hesitating though... I have never before had heels and these heels were 10cm high.. How could I have so high heels as my first heels? And I'm so tall even without heels anyway, can tall women wear heels? But I'm glad my friend persuaded me to buy these shoes.. They're amazing!
