new hair & Tammerfest look

I got a new haircut a while ago. I had thought that I might want to grow my hair long again ... And what do do then;  of course, cut it short! Hahh. It's been about 6 years since my hair was as short as it's now. At first I felt a bit ... naked without my longer hair, but now I'm quite used it. Perfect hair for summer. I always wore ponytails at home, because it's much more comfortable, but now I don't have to because my hair is so short it feels like it's on ponytail all the time.

I wanted to try some bold make up look and different hairdo for Tammerfest, but what a surprise, it was a rainy day so there was no other option for hairdo than wear a hat... And, I was veeery tired so ended up with a simple make up look too.

I wore my black leggins sleeves and the purple dress and little vest that I've made, with those rose lace leggins. The colour of the day was obviosly purple, as I also had a purple hoodie as a jacket and purple scarf..

Plum

Bye bye Pillarpox Red, it's Plum now!

I wanted to turn the red part of my hair into purple already few months ago but there (in Backstreet) happened to be only every other colour but no Plum which is the purple I wanted, so I had to stay with red a little bit longer ..

But as you can see, now it's purple! :) I love red, but change is always good too! And as I'd like to bring some colours into my wardrobe, purple is better hair colour because it goes better with everything, unlike red..

Playing with bleach would be nice too, I don't know if I want so big part of my hair to be black anymore!  Maybe some of my friends wants to help me with that someday. Hmmh.. Rainbow hair sounds tempting .... ;)

back to school

My long summer holiday just ended, and I had to go back to school today. The 2½ months holiday went by so fast, and I had amazing time! Gigs, make up experiments, photography, blogging, ice cream, shopping, reading, friends, happy loneliness, lazyness .. That was my summer! I managed to do 8 out of those 16 things in my to-do list for summer , which is quite good achievement as I didn't look at the list during my holiday at all.

I'm happy to go back to school though, I've missed my classmates and the amazing sewing machine I can use at school! The first thing we're going to make is a blazer. I still have to think of what kind of blazer I want to make.. I like these two blazers, maybe I have to do something between them? I have to search for more inspiration and sketch something.. But please feel free to suggest something, (describe or post links) if you think you know something I might like! :D

This is the make up I wore today. Just a simple look, though different and more colourful than any look I wore at school last year. If you like this look, you can use my Penelope Cruz make up tutorial but do it with different colours. Eyeliners you can put around your whole eye as I did on my tutorial, or to the outer corners like I did today. It's up to you.

I also had my hair done few days ago, got a new haircut. Much shorter.. No more LONG hair at the back of my head! I hadn't even thought about cutting my hair so short, but it just happened, hahah. But I don't regret it at all, short hair is so easy and comfortable! Next time I'm probably going to make it even shorter.

This is my outfit of the day. Such a dark look.. But yeah, I adore that blazer! It's one of those clothes I bought at UFF. The black shirt I'm wearing is actually my little sister's, I've just been borrowing it lately.. So funny, I borrow my mum's large clothes and my little sister's small clothes too.

shorts & new haircut

I never wear trousers, they're all too uncomfortable.. But I realised that shorts are nice! These are the shorts I made at school, the last garment I sewed there before my summer holiday started. These shorts succeeded so well, my teacher gave me almost highest score of these! Stipend for the best one of our class was given to me too.. I was so surprised, I didn't expect it at all! It's so amazing to hear that I'm good at what I love to do.

And, I got a new haircut and colour. Well, the haircut is almost like I used to have, long very layered hair and the left side is very short. I love red, but I wanted to have some easier colour now. I can't be bothered to dye my hair every second week anymore, which I had to do when I had red hair because it faded so fast. So my hair is now mostly black.. Though I didn't want to give up all the red yet. But yeah, I love my new hair. Black hair looks good with anything, so my hair is like demanding me to do lots of new make up experiments!

Pillarpox Red

Today I dyed my hair, with Directions - Pillarbox Red. Really, it's much better than the Crazy Colour - Fire I've used previously.. This is brighter red and also lasts longer, I love it!

Though, I've lately been thinking.. Maybe it would be time to do something different to my hair soon?? I'm going to hairdresser in a month and I don't know if I want to keep the red colour anymore. If I don't want to keep red hair, what do I want then?? I have no idea...

Here's couple pictures of me with blonde hair.. I can't even recognise myself from the pictures even though they're taken last year! Blonde would be the easiest, because the roots wouldn't be a problem because my natural hair colour is almost blonde..

I don't know.. Maybe blonde would be too boring, I've had it for soooo many years already..
Ärghh, I wish my natural hair colour would be dark, just like most of my family member's hair are.. Then I could have dark hair without worrying about the roots..

Unfortunately (or luckily) I don't have pictures of me with black, orange or brown hair to show you..
But.. What would you suggest? Should I stay with red & black or start my journey to become a blonde again? Or something else?

hair straightening

I hate my curly hair... I wish my hair was as straight as it used to be when I was younger! What happened to my hair, what made it to become so curly??

This is how my hair looks like after shower and after a walk in the rain if I don't straighten it..

Straightening my hair.. It's one of my favourite things to do! I couldn't even imagine life without my (sister's) hair straightener!

Well,  before we bought a hair straightener, I used to "glue" my bangs to my forehead with lots of mousse and force it to dry straight.. When it dried, it was so hard but after brushing it well, it was straight (and not so hard anymore)! To other parts of my hair I put lots of mousse too, and brushed it till it dried straight too..
Yeah, how much easier it is to use hair straightener! Don't even have to use so much mousse and my hair feels much cleaner too!

Crazy Color

I just dyed my hair. This was probably the last time I used Crazy Color- Fire. I bought this bottle in August, and I was like oh, having red hair will be expensive. The bottle is so small, only 100 ml, and I thought it's not enough for dyeing my hair with it many times. But surprisingly, it has lasted already 8 months! Even though I've dyed my hair at least once a month.

Anyway, now the bottle is empty and I think I'm not going to buy the same again, I want to start dyeing my hair with some other hair dye.. Still red, though. I think the hair dye my friend dyed my hair last month is better than this one I've used. It didn't fade so fast, don't know if it was because of the dye or because of the way she put it to my hair though. And I think the colour my friend used was brighter red than this one and I liked it more. So I'm going to buy it (Directions) next.

I love my hair after dyeing, it's so smooth, soft and red! And as I'm going nowhere tonight, I don't have to do anything to my hair.. I think it's good to let it just be sometimes without mousse and hairspray and also without burning it with my hair straightener.
